Today’s post is a reflection of some personal fears when it comes to building a network marketing business .

As I prepared to meet with a professional counselor on some personal challenges I have been facing, I noticed an index card attached to a small lamp with the above Dr. Phil quote on it.

"You cannot change what you do not acknowledge."

    ~ Dr. Phil

It seemed like a very timely quote.

I sat thinking about personal quality traits that perhaps I had failed to acknowledge and might have been the cause of the personal challenges I was facing.

Then I started thinking about the moderate success I was having in network marketing and ways I might not be acknowledging some flaws and challenges there.

I began realizing I had a deep fear of building a large team (fear of success - ay ay ay), and that was affecting my potential to have massive success at building a network marketing business.   I realized that instead of realizing I was afraid to team-build, I was actually blaming the product (I didn’t’ believe in it) or just telling myself that I was not cut out for team building .

    What baloney, eh? lol

This type of reasoning gave me all the more reason to develop my web authoring/developing, SEO and blogging skills to start a Small Business Internet Marketing Consulting Business and focus just on that one income stream.

As I networked locally this week, I started hearing several times this week about "diversification" and investing.  So, I realized that I had to put away the fear aside and also devote time to also work on my network marketing ventures as well as my consulting business.

It won’t be a small order, but at least I can find a happy medium with my passion for blogging and teaching others how to blog with my desire to grow my network marketing ventures too.

See, now that I acknowledged the challenge I was facing, I have come to a solution!

    Thanks, Dr. Phil :-)

I hoped you enjoyed this ah ha moment!

    I appreciate you.

Happy belated New Years to you!

I’ve been taken off course by some personal challenges, which I won’t bore you with… Just know that I am all good and well.  I am so ready for all the great things in store for 2009!

The last month or so I’ve been doing some refocusing on my priorities both personal and business.

    Since last month I’ve:

    • Launched my ebook, "Mindset Marketing "
    • Celebrated my Birthday
    • Enjoyed the Holidays with Family in NYC

Here I am in the middle with my niece and sister.

    • Done quite a bit of local marketing and internet consulting (I actually helped a local fitness coach with a mini site and an information product that really turned out excellent for her, and made me feel good too)
    • Took an unintentional hiatus from blogging :-(
    • Went through withdrawal from not being online…

Wow was it a challenging month.

This month I am working on organizing and presenting a small business marketing seminar and adding content to my small business internet marketing consulting blog as well as creating a new information product.  More soon!

This Spring, I’ll be making Mindset Marketing a course.

Overall, this year I intend to have 4 niche blogs (one of which will be a more spiritual take on success to give you an idea of where I’m going ) and there is a possibility I’ll be moving from Virginia.

Tons of things in the works.  Simply reconnecting with you really quickly.

Hope 2009 is looking great for you!  Look forward to hearing how the year is progressing for you!

    More soon.

    I appreciate you.
